How does liquid eyeliner enhance our makeup looks?

What are some common mistakes people make when applying liquid eyeliner?

-   I think some common mistakes that people make while applying liquid eyeliner are not allowing the product to dry (which causes transfer to the lid and smudging), not being precise enough (always start from the base of the lash line ), and not cleaning up the shape. I think most makeup artist professionals, if not all, do not always get the perfect liquid liner shape right away after application (if you do, you are magic, much respect). We tend to use q-tips with a little micellar water to shape the wing. I also will take a sharp concealer brush and clean up my liquid liner that way. It’s really the fine details that make a good liquid liner application. I also recommend taking it slow and assessing your eye shape before liquid liner application. 

What's your personal step-by-step to achieving perfect liquid eyeliner?

This is my perfect fool proof way of how I use liquid eyeliner. Number one, I draw out the shape using a pencil eyeliner first. Make sure to also tight line your lash line for extra depth. Now that we have the map for where to put your liquid liner, it’s a piece of cake. I love Catrice’s Calligraph Pro Precise 20H Matte liner, which is super matte and does not have a sheen to it at all, which for me, works better for film, photography, and TV. Simply just go over the shape you made and then we la, the most perfect deep, rich liquid liner application. Layering liners also amplifies the staying power, so you know this is going to last all day long!  Just make sure you wait until it dries completely, I always recommend keeping your eyes down and to take a hand fan to make sure.
