Meet Beauty Bus
What they do
Beauty Bus is a Los Angeles-based nonprofit that uplifts patients and caregivers through the restorative power of beauty and human connection — delivering confidence, comfort, and care. What began with one home visit in 2009 has grown to serve more than 35,000 patients and caregivers navigating some of life's most challenging moments. Fueled by volunteer Beauty Professionals, Beauty Bus provides free, professional salon services to communities in hospitals, homes, and community care centers across Los Angeles and Orange County.
- Pop-Up Salons: Bringing professional hairstylists, makeup artists, estheticians, and nail technicians to hospitals and social service partners for a one-day, on-site beauty event.
- Beauty Series: Weekly integrated programs for hospitals and social service partners, including Infusion Center Oncology Spa Treatments and essential hair services for in-patients and out-patients.
- Home Visits: In partnership with the ALS Network, Beauty Bus meet ALS clients and their caregivers where they need it most—bringing Beauty Professionals to provide regular salon services at home.
- Bags of Beauty: Thoughtfully curated with donated premium, clean, beauty and skincare products which are distributed to patients and caregivers at their Pop-Up Salons and community events.
So what exactly are we doing?
- We provide Beauty Bus with quarterly donations of product for their Bags of Beauty program - directly supporting the patients and caregivers they serve.
- We select certain days of the year (like Giving Tuesday) and donate a portion of our website sales directly to Beauty Bus.
And what can you do?
