Winter Looks

When you think of winter 2025 makeup, how would you describe the overall mood?

-          “For Winter 2025, I’m seeing a lot of bright white and frosted makeup looks, with a touch of Victoria Secret Angel. I’m seeing examples of this kind of work on artists like Zara Larrson via her talent makeup artist, Sophia Sinot. However I could be projecting, as this is the kind of makeup I want to be doing this winter! I’m such a Y2K kid, I always want to bring back frosted makeup, always.”

What’s one unexpected color or texture you’re obsessed with this season?

-          “I’m seeing a lot of bright pink and white, almost bunny-like makeup looks. For a frosted white makeup look, try dashing some Catrice Diamond Treasures Cream to Powder Eyeshadow in the shade “smokey diamond” on your lids! The pearly white shade adds such a beautiful sparkle and dimension to any winter makeup look. I also like how small and simple this palette is. It makes it beginner friendly.”

Are we still here for glazed skin — or are we moving back to matte again?

-          “I think we’re headed towards something more satin actually, a luminous matte. A hybrid of glazed skin and matte, a matte with glow. Glazed skin always looks good, but I feel like a more matte finish says classic winter glam. For an affordable natural, lightweight foundation, try Catrice’s HD Liquid Coverage Foundation. It’s still very hydrating without being overly dewy and it lasts all day long. Not to mention it’s only $10, vegan, and cruelty free.”

What’s one easy makeup swap that instantly makes a look feel more winter-appropriate?

-          “One easy way to makeup swap something is to sweep an icy eyeshadow over the lid. I love Catrice’s new Drunk n’ Diamonds Eyeshadow stick in the shade “lavender jelly haze.” It has the most beautiful sparkle and is super easy to use and blend on the eye. I always find that cream shadows last throughout the day (and night) as well. This is the perfect addition to any winter makeup look.  Additionally another quick makeup swap would be to add a deep plum lipstick. With this kind of makeup look, I prefer a lighter eyeshadow look in order to balance out such a strong color on the lips.”

Do you see any throwback beauty moments making a comeback this winter?

       -  “I see a throwback to the Y2K frost, but again that might be my millennial heart hoping. Besides frosted eyes, I would love to see more frosted lips! Catrice Cosmetics has this gorgeous collection of frosted lip glosses that I will be sure to use this winter season. My favorite shade in the Diamond Glaze Lip Gloss collection is “020 poppin glitters” which is a stunning light pink frosty shade. The gloss lays beautiful over liner and lipstick (or just by itself) and adds the perfect holiday winter shimmer.”
