Find the perfect chrome makeup for every New Year’s resolution

Volunteer. Exercise more. Spend less. New Year’s 2018 comes with the usual cadre of resolutions. I’ve figured out how to pair some of them with looks fresh from Catrice’s new Ultimate Chrome Collection Eyeshadow Palette.

Resolution 1: Travel more.

Historic Route 66? Soul searching in the South Pacific? Full-on Eurotrip? If you want to explore the world beyond your front door, leave with a light heart and lighter bags. Bring flexible and multi-purpose products, like Catrice’s Chrome Collection. Its 9 aligned shades can be used for various looks, including metallic lids and highlighted cheekbones.

Resolution 2: Put down the phone.

Sleepy? Your smartphone could be the culprit. Give yourself a break and go “offline” an hour before turning in. With a solid eight hours you can show off your perky peepers with a wash of chrome color. Using a fluffy eyeshadow brush, apply one of the Chrome Collection’s lightest shades up to the crease in a windshield wiper motion.

Resolution 3: Up the whole food intake.

I’m talking whole grains, farm-fresh produce and healthy doses of protein. Delicious, right? Plus, your skin will love you for it. So show off its healthy new glow by using the Chrome Collection to highlight. Working on top of freshly applied foundation, use a fan brush to apply the “Light” shade on your cheekbones, brow bones and bridge of your nose.

Resolution 4: Learn something new.

Master French. Get into sculpting. Astound with a holographic and 3-dimensional chrome eye. Using the Chrome Collection, start by applying one of the mid-tones into the crease and outer corner. Blend with a fluffy brush. Then, apply one of the lighter shades up to the crease with a flat brush. Start at the inner corner and bring it out to meet the mid-tone. For a smoky effect, blend the light color for a more natural transition. Finish by applying “Sculpt” to the inner corner.

With the versatility of this single palette, you’ll also achieve your goal of spending less without even trying!
